I just had a pretty intense electrolysis session 3 weeks ago on my face. There’s still some slight markings (I won’t call them scarring as I’m hoping they’ll go away) but I’m also got new regrowth as well as hairs I wasn’t able to get to in my last session. I travel for work and I’m in this new area where I’m right next to a laser place with a fantastic discount. I’m tempted to go in there and get zapped (I’ve had good results from laser in the past) and in fact I even booked a session. But I’m starting to worry I haven’t given my skin enough time to heal! I want to be barefaced for some important upcoming events (I’m a professional performer and a trans woman) but I don’t want to risk causing permanent scars. In this image below you can see the worst of the marks that I’m pointing to, but there’s lighter ones nearly everywhere else that I want to get treated. Should I cancel this appointment?! I’d rather be safe than sorry.
I couldn’t recommend the exact gap between electrolysis and LHR if you are not my clients because I don’t know:
- how well/skillful your therapist is &
- different clients take different duration to heal, some take longer than average.
But I could only recommend that you have to wait probably another 3-4 weeks once your treated area looks healed/recovered because even if u looks heal your skin underneath will take a bit longer.
