GentleLase v. Gentleyag

I started receiving laser treatments at a salon a few years ago. They gave me the Gentleyag but said I am on the light side for that one. Yesterday I went to really well-known derma in NYC (who was insanely expensive) and received another treatment. She gave me the GentleLase. Today I have a burn that is scabbing up a little bit. I don’t know about settings or anything since she really did not describe any of that to me, which I find upsetting considering how much she charges. Does this likely mean that the GentleYag is a better match for my skin type than the GentleLase? It seems like my skintype falls somewhere in between, since I have dark skin for a white person, but not dark enough for the Gentleyag.

BTW I am of Mediterranean decent. My skin is sort of olive toned. I tan easily but sometimes burn (only as an adult. I never had sunburn until age 18, but now my skin has become rather sensitive to the sun). Hair is very dark brown.

If you are mediterrenean, then you should use an ADJUSTABLE PULSE ALEXANDRITE LASER. The Gentlelase has a fixed pulse of 3 msc yet the GENTLEMAX has an adjustable one. By upping the thermal relaxation, you can get a good treatment without hurting your skin.
