I was checking the Candela website for providers and found only 2 places in California using the GentleLASE Pro. I checked out the website for the one in Glendale, Prolase Laser Clinic. It showed the prices of the treatments to be 50% or more cheaper than before and the times to be cut almost in half. Pretty impressive if it is true.
Does anyone have any idea about this machine (or business) or is this a “If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is” situation.
You don’t “need” a Pro. Regular GentleLASE is good too.
You shouldn’t go by prices. You need to make sure they know how to use the machine and good settings to get you permanent results.
Thanks LAgirl. That’s what I wanted to know. The two places I am considering have great reviews and sound knowledgeable.
A lot of people post reviews before they complete a full set of treatment and have a chance to assess true reduction. Instead, I would recommend to go in for consultation and ask what settings they will use.
My observation having had treatments with both gentleLase non-pro & pro is that I noticed no downside to switching to the pro. If anything it seemed slightly stronger as i dropped my settings down a notch as the same settings as non-pro felt ‘stronger’ & i fidnt want to risk burning!
My last full male Brazilian treatment was 11w ago & am still hairless except for a few very fine stragglers. It’s being like that for last few treatments and i am very likely to be posting a ‘formal’ success story after 6 months 
As a quick summary, I had my 1st pro treatment 11 months ago and have had 8 in total, 4 with non-pro & 4 with pro all spaced 10-12 weeks apart (started feb last year). Full shedding every time & completely hair free periods increasing over time from 4w up. The entire processs has taken a while in elapsed time, but bugger all treatment time ie say under 20 mins for each laser each treatment. I’ve also had full legs in under 40 mins. Given the cost $100 full braz and $150 full legs per treatment, I’ve very happy with results from a time, cost & result perspective.
