This place has 314 reviews and the majority seem to be great. Hard to imagine any laser hair removal place getting that amount of positive ratings. Anyone know much about them? I am not flying all the way there, but just curious.
I’m skeptical. The five star reviews are very similar in writing style and also the users only have the one review each. They also never make a negative point, which some of the more genuine sounding reviews do.
Also, reviews aren’t a great way to figure things out. You have to remmeber the average consumer has no idea what to expect, and many complain about packages, pricing, pain, amount of treatments needed/not needed, etc, which they would understand more if they educated themselves before going to a clinic. I would recommend ringing them, finding out what sort of machine they use etc. The settings they use on the machine they have, and their experience, is much more important than anything else.
Citysearch is notorious for lots of fake reviews by the companies’ owners. I wouldn’t use Citysearch. Check a site like www.Yelp.com. It’s more of a social networking reviewing site, so it’s obvious if a user only signed up to post a review for one or two businesses.
Not such good reviews on Yelp:
They promote a lot via Groupon, SpaSally, and a bunch of other NYC discounting sites.
