I think I had a Gemini Laser used on my face for redness and to tighten it up. The laser tech put this goop on my face and it spark a few times while she was working on my and than she would run and put more goop on my face. The next fews days my face was red and it hurt like a sunburn. And I had some burn spots. I was told this was the greatest and latest technology but I’ve got my suspicious.
Is the Fraxel laser the newest and greatest laser out there for your face?
There are many different lasers used for many different skin procedures. This is a laser hair removal forum. Not sure if you’re asking about that or about other skin treatments.
Btw, everyone will tell you that whatever they have is the best.
Candela’s GenleLase and Gentle Yag are the best on the market today for hair reduction, from what I have been hearing. The Gemini, I believe, is mainly for people of color and I am referring to hair reduction, NOT skin conditioning or rejuvenation, unless there is a new model available. If you want hair reduction, then read the laser faq’s and then choose the practitioner that has the correct laser FOR YOUR NEEDS. (Sidebar: I personally do not like light-based systems for facial hair reduction - complications can arise, thus making a hair problem worse. It can be a gamble, so know that before you dive in wholeheartedly.)
How long has this technician been doing laser hair reduction? What is it you want the most, hair reduction or to get rid of the redness?
