Galvanic as a starter?

Hi,

Can someone tell me why it is best for a beginner to start with galvanic? Instead of blend?

And another question…Is galvanic less intrusive to the skin?
Because I am getting treatments with the blend method and it seems quite intrusive to my skin…It heels ok though after about 2 weeks…

A beginner?? as in do-it yourself? Galvanic is a good place to start for a neophyte, but a professional can go faster with a multiple probe unit or another modality. Any modality, whether it be galvanic, thermolysis or blend can damage skin if it is performed incorrectly.

Practitioner skill may be the problem as far as your skin goes. Old equipment where one can’t control the energy output easily can be another. New equipment that isn’t being used properly can be another problem. Please talk to your electrologist. For body work, though, expect healing to take longer. Help healing along with proper aftercare at home no matter where a treatment was performed. If you present more details, maybe I/we can help.

Well I posted this before but it still worries me a littlebit.

I am having genital electrolysis done on the penis shaft.
I am responding ok as in I can see a difference after two treatments in hairgrowth.

On the underside I had the least problems concerning skin healing, and that is also the part where I have the least regrowth.

But on the topside I have (after both treatments) a lot of scabs and crusts and my skin is healing for like 2 weeks.

I told my practitioner and she treated me last time on lower settings but stil on some places I get red bumps that need to heal for a long time.
I told her that I am affraid after the long term I might get scars but she said I would be ok and treats me again after the skin has totally healed…

I know the skin on this part of the body is sensitive but is it normal that I have a reaction like that after electrolysis?

Yes, for this area. Are you using dabs of tea tree oil and aloe vera gel after you wash with something like liquid Dial soap?

Well I have this tube from a Dutch company called “Bio-dermal”
It’s good for he skin and helps against new and old scars.
It does work though.
After the first treatment on a very high setting it was fully healed after about 4 weeks (And then I mean that one couldn’t even see traces of the treatment anymore)
So I hope this is good?

Speaking as a beginner, one reason one would start with galvanic instead of blend is the timing. Galvanic is slower and it gives one an opportunity to get used to doing an insertion, watching how the skin reacts, and there is more room for error with treatment settings.

I went from 60 seconds per hair on a given area with galvanic to 7 seconds with blend. I found it a big hurtle to overcome, to get the coordination down enough to safely treat the hair in 7 seconds. On the bright side, going from blend to “slow” thermolysis wasn’t too hard, and the jump from slow thermolysis to microflash even easier.

Especially without personal instruction, it takes a lot, and I mean a lot, of practice. But if you stick with it long enough, and don’t get discouraged, you’ll be surprised what you can accomplish.

What are the ingredients in Bio-Dermal, toeman?

hi Dee,

Thanks for your interest, I appreciate it…

I looked at the tube and it doesn’t say what is in it because it says so on the box.

It’s almost empty so when I buy a new one I will tell you…

Okay, thanks!

Is this the site for your Biodermal? Perhaps it shows ingredients, and you could translate for Dee?
