not too long ago i completed electrolysis on nearly all of my body. as a result i have very little or no hair on my full legs and armpits. i got electrolysis done largely for hygienic reasons (i am close to becoming wheelchair bound) - and as a male i’m not one to show my plucked-chicken self off in public.
anyways, i’m at the physical therapist’s office, and getting massage therapy on my crampy spasmodic legs. the therapist gives me a double-take when she notices i have no hair, but initially says nothing. of course i’m feeling a little self-conscious.
i still have a few pockets of hyperpigmentation from the short-wave electrolysis. therapist asks me what they are (do you have a rash and is it communicable?) i say no, just electrolysis scars.
at which point she says, “oh.”
to which she adds:
“can i say something? you have smoother legs than i do!”
the massage lasts 10 more minutes than scheduled.
i honestly think she enjoyed touching my legs. freak!
i made it out alive to post on hairtell another day. lol.
