Fun with electrolysis

Took the probe inserted it in, pressed the pedal then tried to slide the hair out. Didn’t release. Ok, let’s try one more time.
Inserted probe, pressed pedal, looked at the machine, all lights up, beep for sequence end. No release.

Let’s go to a different hair.
Pressed again the pedal (no more than 2 times per hair). No success. Looked again at the machine.

I was using probe B (inactive - unselected) and in use was probe was A (selected).

[color:#CC0000]You know, I do that sometimes too.

Or, I make a great insertion, but then my foot is no where near the pedal so it’s wasted because I have to find the pedal.

I hit the pedal with my heel. To me it’s a lot more energy saving. How people can hit the pedal with their toe for hours is beyond me. I’ve been using my heel since the beginning.[/color]

Me too. And it works best when i wear plimsolls.

Good information. I haven’t used a foot switch for years. Getting use to an auto-sensor is not too difficult and certainly keeps the fatigue at bay.

Beate, my client moved to Germany on December 17th. I cleared her the day before she left, so you should be getting a call from her to arrange an appointment by the end of January.

I don’t say this to beat up on you Dee, but could you talk a little about the experience you had going from toe tapping the foot pedal to a dedicated auto-sensor user? I know many people who just won’t step out of their comfort zone to get up to using this tool. While it does take some getting used to, and getting the feel of the right treatment energy delay to use in relation to your insertion can be frustrating, once one comes out of the darkness, the payback is yet another bump up in one’s work output.

Yes, I am picking on you because I know your story.

James knows my story alright. As I was learning how to work in auto sensor in 2004, I was using his chin for practice. He lost some chunks of skin, complete with the puff smoke sifting upward like a chimney. Fazed him none, but I had a severe case of tachycardia when I saw the yellow lymph fluid oozing from the crater. He healed just fine, by the way.

Auto sensor takes practice in order to get your personal timing in sync with getting the probe positioned at the bottom of follicle before the burst of energy releases. It allows the electrologist to work faster without fatigue. I finished a 4.5 hour appointment today and could have gone longer.

I remember my electrologist not using a footswitch and she sailed through an area effortlessly.

It can be awkward to do at first, but I guarantee that after one gets the feel, the footswitch will be tossed in the drawer and forgotten .
