I have been getting electrolysis on my full upper body (minus forearms but including face) for about a year and a half (after laser induced growth). I have been getting treated about three hours a week on average. I have seen pretty good results for such a large area.
Can I realistically expect to be completely hairless on such a large area or do I need to be satisfied at some point with significant reduction? I ask myself this question mainly when observing my chest/abs, ribs, and back area. The hair here has been significantly reduced but I can still see it when looking closely in the mirror. I really don’t want to continue on a “hairless” path when in fact this may not be realistically achievable.
Any electrologists here ever complete such a large job to the “completely hairless” level?
As a busy electrologist, I personally love doing large areas and if a client is compliant and oriented to the end result, yes it is realistic to become completely hairless with electrolysis.
Modality matters though. It is realistic with MICROFLASH thermolysis to move very quickley, hair by hair on large areas. I personally think it is not realistic to use galvanic or even blend on large areas. I know how to perform all three methods of electrolysis and microflash or even flash thermolysis wins hands down on the realistic side for doing large areas. I say this from a position of experience and meticulous record keeping over the years.
Being that you are a laser-induced client, you may have no choice but to use electrolysis to get real results. More information would be helpful so we can understand your story. I assume you are male with a name like Matt. How old are you? What laser was used? How many treatments in what areas? There may be a chance that you can get more laser treatments to get the stimulated hair???
Also, there is no hair removal method that can prevent new hair in the future from being stimulated, so you may need to do nit picky cleanups through out your life cycle. That’s another reality
A quality picture is worth a thousand words if you care to post.
Speaking of realistic, it is much better to permanently eliminate offending hair or noticable hair with any modality, laser or electrolysis, and leave the small short blondies alone. Is that what you meant to say?
I am dead serious about the strategy to remove large areas of hair with a faster form of electrolysis. A skilled microflash or even flash practitioner using good levels of intensity and timing, using the biggest probe possible, using quality magnification and lighting can do this for you with high satifaction. Someone with speed levels between 500-600 hairs per hour would be acceptable. If they can move faster, that would be even better. Fast still means deadly if insertions are expertly done.
That’s as reaslistic as it can get for a large area. It works.
are you doing what is advised for fastest resuls, i.e. leaving each appt with NO hair on all the areas you’re treating? if you’re not, you may want to up the number of hours per week. the point is to get all the hairs you want removed asap, so you only come in afterwards to kill the new weak hairs that pop up. If you let them sit there for too long, they go into dormancy and that postpones the treatment time.
