Flash vs blend and your thoughts on a choice

I will continue to be out of town until April so I am actively trying to do electrolysis here, since there is no one available in my hometown.
The area I am working on is sideburns, much of the hair is blonde but there are also dark hairs which i am targeting.
I found one person who was very good. They would use the gold needle on me as I seem to react less with that type of metal. They have great equipt, top notch optics ,lighting and very good results but are VERY expensive. I was told for treatment to be successful I had to come every two weeks. So I was going every two weeks but i felt confused as there wasn’t really much of the dark hair to treat and seemed no matter how long the appointment was ( they would decide) it was still costing alot of money . I asked about the logic of this as I was concerned that I would be spending so much cash while the dark hairs that really needed the treatment were not even back yet. I was simply told that this is the only way that it will work.
Well of course, eventually I spent all available funds and I just could not afford to continue. And as I had guessed , it was after this, that eventually the dark hairs returned ready for treatment but i had already spent my money !

I found another person who seems alot more human, more soulful, and i get the sense unlike location A , that its not just about the money. She has been doing E professionally for a long time . I do like her and find her honest and straightforward. She treated me very quickly and charged me 20 dollars which at the other place for the same amount of time would have been at least 120 ! She also told me that for that sideburn area one would come back every 5 or 6 weeks minimum!! My suspicions confirmed! ([color:#FF0000] Hmm…so Do i contact the other place with my disappointment or just chalk it up to yet another disappointment )[/color]

On the down side she has poor lighting, does not have gold needles available, and for her optics uses only regular close up glasses they type they sell at pharmacies. She honestly admitted that she needs stronger galsses now but hasnt gotten around to it. The loupes etc she said she has tried and just cant work with all of that on her head. I get the impression that she is considering selling her biz and retiring as is not quite into it like she may have been at one time.More importantly, she used flash thermolysis and not blend as all the other place seem to use on the face.
I do have some tiny scab points from most the insertions but nothing I havent seen before( had much worse scabbing at other places ive tried ) and it looks fairly light and likely will heal quickly. The other place I was VERY impressed that there was never any marks afterward and they did use blend.

So my question is : do I continue with place B because it is affordable, and she is kind hearted type of person who I feel more connected to, or is it risky to use flash thermolysis on my face and stainless needles? I don’t want to be cheap if the effects will show on my face! I will admit that I am feeling more swayed to see her again …I appreciate your input!

Flash thermolysis can actually mean two things and i believe it’s the latter of the two. Flash can refer to a very high intensity heat applied for a very short time, or the way that the Apilus has coined the term. In all honesty i would think electrolysis with less thermolysis application on the face area would be better for your skin. It’s a delicate area. But if you have a Git 'R Done mentality just be sure the heat isn’t left on for to long.

I have thermolysis done on my face (upper cheeks) exclusively, i haven’t noticed anything particularly bad about the process.

Generally it’s a good idea to stick with one who does the most effective work with the least amount of long-term damage, regardless of what electrolysis method they use.

In this case if tiny scabs is the only temporary side-effect and you feel you’re getting results, I’d be tempted to continue with the second one.

Perhaps the first provider honestly believed what they were saying but it doesn’t change the fact that they didn’t take your concerns seriously.

Very limited Internet access at moment so not a. Chance to respond properly to all which i could…Yes it looks like the tiny scabs are normal , i noticed them on a photo of josses work so i guess it is to be expected ! i was impressed that I had none with electrolysist A ,But yes not so impressed with the lack of information and contact . So I will give the small amount of time left to work with the other woman. She works very fast and seems to be much more human. Over n out for now…

It is the result what counts, not the method. Good results can be obtained with every proven approach. From a customers’ point of view this means “how much hair will be removed for my money?” . Of course without permanent negative side effects.

Regarding the gold probes: yes, the healing seems to be a bit better, especially for the brands with stable gold cover. For whatever reason; i doubt that is the gold itself - the tips of the Lauriers are not gold covered either, and these probes are really great. But is the healing with the steel probe sufficient?
