I’m a male with type II/III skin and brown hair. I had the hair on the back of my neck zapped with the Candela GentleLase yesterday, with an 18 mm spot size and (I think) 18 J of power. I was terrified that it would hurt, but it didn’t, and I am a wimp! No pain control other than the built-in cryogen spray. The stubble hasn’t fallen out yet, but I did smell some burning hair. Was this enough power?
