Hi everyone,
so I am a 29 year old male, with a typical skin darkness an Arab has. Although I’m not Arab. :o)
Anyhow, so I wanted to remove some hair on my face, around my lips and mouth. Permanently.
I looked around. Unsure of what is a good place. I found one place, and so far have had laser one session with them! I chose this laser clinic (called “laser clear clinic”)… because someone recommended that a “gentlase” would be good on darker skin types like me. Which is a machine they have.
Anyhow… so I turned up. Got a test patch done. It was a shock! Not painful, but like a 9V battery to the tongue The sort of thing I used to do as a kid.
There was no burning reaction to the test patch. My skin was fine the next week. So the next week… I had the desired area lasered. Again, more shocking, but I got used to it after a bit, although my eyes watered for a while.
The lady laser treating me was very gentle and considerate. Actually all the staff were. Asking me questions, making sure… I was CERTAIN about this treatment. The interviewer didn’t like the idea of me doing something I’d later regret. I definitely felt not being forced into this. More like they wanted the best for me out of this! Which was great.
So… 3 days after my first laser treatment… the area looks much the same, although I think there is a slight reduction. One of the guys working at the place told me that… they would turn up the power as time goes on, to improve the results. So they can make sure they get the maximum that is still safe by me. They were being careful at first, so that’s OK with me.
The prices were very good. I am glad I found somewhere that treated me nicely, considerately, and was a steal!!! Well… compared to the other places I looked at anyhow, some were almost twice the price. That other place at twice the price, the receptionist didn’t sound so considerate either.
Well… I hope to get a full elimination in the area! Who knows. If there are only like 10 hairs or so left over that are laser resistant… I will probably self-electrolysize. It’s just a small area, around my mouth, especially the upper lip. So… not too large an area to electrolysise.
