O.K, before I ask my question I want to clarify once again that the hairs on my face are not normal vellus hairs that most women have on their face. My hairs stick out, some long, some short, some blonde, some brown, and they are all thicker than an average normal woman. Anyway, I look like I have a freakin’ beard! They did not used to be there, so obviously it’s a problem. They grow from my cheek bones to my neck, and laser made the problem even worse(UGH!). NOT NORMAL!!!
I started electrolysis on my face (minus my neck) 68 days ago and have not yet received first clearance. There are some bald spots, but overall there is still a good amount of hair. At first I was going two hrs a week and now I’m going 4 hrs a week. For there being so much hair does this sound about right for not getting first clearance? And if so will that mean my totaly time for electrolysis will be even longer than the 12-24 months? Maybe will I never reach first clearance and just gradually see the reduction?
In the situation you describe, it is possible that you will only slowly notice a gradual reduction of visible hairs until you finally have no more visible hairs that you find offensive. It could take longer than the norm in this case.
On the other hand, i was going for my appointments every week, one hour, and i was doing only my upper lip. Seven months into it and i found myself without ever having full clearance, which wasn`t normal to me. It turns out that it was either my electrologist at the time, or her equipment (galvanic) that was causing the problem. Once i switched to thermolysis and different practitioner, i had clearance after two hours of work.
Dee,
I haven’t submited a pic yet. If I take a picture inside it’s harder to see the hairs so I have to take it outside with the right lighting. You’re probably thinking, hmmm is it really a problem then?, yes, in certain lighting you can see them sparkling/shinning, and hanging off/sticking out of my face. They are more disguised inside. I’ll work on that pic.
lagirl,
I get microflash, and she does remove a good amount of hair per hour. I don’t know the exact amount but I’ll ask her tomorrow. I’m concerned because sometimes she’ll be searching for hair, then when I look in the mirror there are obvious long ones staring me in the face. I don’t understand how she can miss them.
Maybe I’m just so early in the game that I’m just getting a lot of new/regrowth. I could really use some positive encouragement and hope that this will get better!!!
