So I have been looking for a machine to get me started for quite sometime now. After many failed attempts on Ebay I was getting really frustrated. I decided to take Seana’s advice and look into buying one from someone on Kijiji. I messaged a lot of people and few responded back. I ended up getting a Apilus Senior II for slightly under 1700 including shipping. I was nervous the whole deal at first but the lady seemed really nice and shipped right away. The machine came with a lot more accessories than I thought. I still have yet to play with this machine just yet. To be honest I am still a little lost, I have to start reading to try and figure out how to use this thing. I’ll probably start in a few days after I finish up with my last final from school. Anyone with any advice from someone new starting up would be nice.
wow, well 1700 is a lot of money for a senior II it’s still less than it was new. It’s an advanced machine. It also appears from your picture you got a whole lot of extra stuff. I count 4-5 probe holders and your machine can only use maximum 2 at once, but some may have been replaced as they may have been worn. The red wire witht he sponge thing attached is your anode. The roller is a cataphoresis roller. All told you have quite a few extra bits and duplicates of some things. The metal pipe is another annode, actually it’s what I use but the flat bar ones are handy for sticking in your pants hem or under you as you work. You also seem to have gotten quite a selection of probes. These REALLY add up in value when you consider all the different sizes you would have,as each box can be 40 or so dollars for one size.
All in all a nice machine. I think you will be happy with it. If you need help setting up the manual IS of some help on the Apilus’s and you can also ask me.
Seana
Yeah not exactly what I was planning on paying but not many of the people with lower priced machines responded or were willing to ship.
When I went to a professional she made me hold onto that metal pipe which was covered in a wet cloth. I was wondering what is the black rubber thing attached to the end of the red wire. Would that be covered with the blue sponge and wet with water so I don’t have to hold the metal pipe? Little confused on that part and yes that would be great, I could use the help with the manual settings
