Finally Free FDA Aproved ???

Hello, All

Finally Free - Permanent Hair Removal System (F125) on their website it states its FDA approved and shows copy’s of letters from FDA and so on is this true or a scam?
Has any one used this new device ?

The Scam section does NOT talk about this device in general and remarks are very old assuming back in the 60’s. The site mentions an update from FDA in 2005

Any input ??

Thanks

I would go to the FDA website and look it up, approval doesn’t neccesarily mean that the FDA is telling you they have permanent reduction. Also, companies are allowed to use fairly misleading language, so it means nothing unless you’ve looked at the source.

Find the summary here: http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/cdrh_docs/pdf/K972695.pdf

It might also be worth looking up the “substantially equivalent” devices to see information about them as well. Especially if these substantially equivalent devices are ones well known not to work.

The misleading thing about the “FDA Approval” sited for devices like “Finally Free” is that they are coming in under the “Substantially Equivalent” clause. Basically, the machine is based on the design of real electrolysis equipment. On the other hand, it is outfitted with contacts that can not effect permanent hair removal. To the point, a contact patch, or wet cotton swab will not deliver permanent hair removal, only a probe inserted into the follicle itself will. Replace their contact patch or swab holder with a needle cord, and the machine will actually work.

Of course, that is like saying, buy this car, and replace its ski sled legs with a rack and pinion suspension and wheels, and you have a working car.

It is just easier to buy a real device in the first place, than to buy these overpriced items, and pay even more to modify them.
