FAQ's?

Could someone point me to the FAQ’s? I can’t seem to find them (apart from the ones about the forum itself).

In case someone wants to answer my questions…:

I have fair skin and dark hair (blue eyes, don’t tan much).

I have some dark hair on my upper lip which I would like to get rid of.
I tried electrolysis when I was younger (about 17), but only lasted 2 sessions. The girl doing it must have been new - very slow. Plus when she told me that I’d have to do it every month for the rest of my life it really depressed me. Is that true?

I tried laser next. It seemed to work initally, but once the 6 sessions were over it was back to normal :o(

Does this mean that nothing will work for me?

I would also like to deal with my bikini and legs. The hair there is thick and coarse - I can feel regrowth within hours of shaving!

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

the faqs are on the laser hair removal forum here. link below.

for your upper lip, you need a good electrologist. the whole point is that it’s permanent. so no, you don’t have to go forever. you just have to go about once a month for 9-12 months for 15-30 mins depending on how much hair you have.

for your legs and bikini, laser is good for your skin and hair type. however, you need to read the FAQS and find a proper clinic with best machine for you. there are many out there which offer neither.

You don’t have to do electrolysis the rest of your life, but you do need to take care of any new hair that sprouts during your life span due to genetics, hormonal conditions, medications, etc.

Once the hair that is present now is affected, it can not return ever no matter what the body does to try and make it regrow. That’s the beautiful concept of electrolysis: hair properly treated, hair gone forever. Simple concept. Ying and Yang.

An upper lip is and should be the domain of good electrolysis care. Laser can be done, but that takes skill as well. Problem is sometimes, with laser, I frequently see clients who only get partial results if any at all and then I am left to clean up the leftovers, which can be substantial for some. So, my point is, why not start and finish this small area with electrolysis from the get-go??

There are laser FAQ’s at the top of the laser froum. There are no electrolysis FAQ’S here on hairtell. Go to www.electrology.com for electrolysis information.
