facial hair reduction is there "art" involved?

I’m trying to see if there are photos of male facial hair reduction or shaping done with electrolysis. For example if guys only chose to leave a goatee or what’s called a “chin strap/chin curtain.” examples in this link Hudson's Guide: Facial Hair, Growth and Grooming

Is male facial hair shaping a very difficult task than just full removal for electrolysis? Since facial hair shaping with electrolysis would be permanent, do electrologists know what type of shape would look natural or good on an individual’s face?

It is an art. Some people have the skill, others don’t.

For reference, watch the movie “Hancock” starring Will Smith. Early in the movie, the Hancock character is found on a bench asleep, where he is supposed to have a 5 day beard growth, just to show how slovenly he is. In close ups, you find the perfect line of Will’s previous electrolysis work. His growth follows a perfect line down his side-burns, and over across his cheeks, and to his mustache. It is funny to those who notice, as it seems that he has made one scrape of the razor on his face on each cheek once a day, every day, and neglected to finish the job on the rest of the face.

To re-cap, you can git it done, if you find someone who is skillful enough to do it the way you want it, as long as you can articulate what you want, and stick to the schedule needed to get that result permanently.

I would never guess that Will Smith would have done electrolysis on his face. Maybe he has a master barber with him at all times that gives him a perfect straight edge shape up. lol

I wouldn’t recommend making a goatee look permanent. You may not want it in 10 years.

He also got the “permanent edge up” where the line of his hair growth in front and the edge line on the back of the neck are frozen. He only needs a barber for length.
