I bought a One Touch home electrolysis kit about 6 months ago, which I have been using to clear excess hair on my breasts and a few on my chin. I have had great results and apart from a little tingle, it barely hurts. This evening I tried removing some hairs from my belly for the first time, as this is the next area I would like to work on. The pain was awful. I had to turn the dial down to two and even that was hard to bear (I usually use it on 5). Is this normal? I thought the chest area would be much more sensitive. Is there anything I can do to make it less uncomfortable? Ice?

Check your insertion, the stomach area is kind of a hard area to hit for someone just starting DIY
Try using EMLA creme before electrolysis. It can help a lot
