End of treatment - how long between sessions?

I’ve been getting electrolysis done on my underarms for 2 years :sleepy:

It’s been quite the journey but I think I’m almost at the finish line…from pictures I estimate I’m getting roughly 30-40 hairs (including thin but visible hairs) on each underarm every month.

My question is: my electrologist wants me to start coming in as soon as I see new hairs, which would mean coming in weekly to grab the 10 or so hairs (per underarm) that come in each week (up until this point I’ve come in once or twice a month for a longer session). She said coming in more frequently will allow her to get the hairs before they become more strongly rooted and therefore harder to completely killed. Is this true? Say I have an appointment on June 1st, and I see one or two hairs grow in by June 4th. Will those hairs move out of the anagen phase or become harder to treat by July 1st? Coming in more frequently means more time commuting and shorter sessions are more expensive per minute; however if this is what will get me across the finish line I’ll do it.

Any advice/insight is appreciated!

It’s complete nonsense. Electrolysis can treat follicles regardless of growth phase. It’s perfectly normal for me to not see clients for two or three months between treatments.

Aside from that, hearing you’ve spent two years on underarm treatments is a little bit concerning. Underarms are typically a very quick and easy treatment and two years is really at the upper limit for body work in such a small area. How many hours of treatment have you done here in total? Have you definitely seen a reduction in hair in those two years?

Thanks for the feedback. It’s been about 25 hours on each underarm (50 hours total). I’ve posted a few times on this forum and it does seem like my treatment time is taking abnormally long. I changed electrologists just over a year into treatment because of the plateau in progress. Right now I do think I’ve had a reduction in hair, but I’m definitely ready to be done.

Underarms are treated every 6-8 weeks. At Hade Clinics we are completing this are in 8 treatments on average. Typically one year.
