Hey! Ok I bought the Emjoi Optipro at my local Target…and loved it the first time I used it. However, after a few weeks, I started to notice that even though my arm felt smooth to the touch after I epilated, the next day it was already growing back in. This is because it was breaking off the hairs instead of plucking them out. Don’t know why? I have tried everything…going against the grain, going with the grain, going in circles, nothing seems to work . It has two speeds, and honestly one seemed as good as the other. The only spot this device works on for me is my belly button line. I think because these hairs were longer…but…why should I have to wait until the hair is a centimeter long before I can epilate again? It claims its supposed to get hairs 0.5mm long. Um, no. I took a white piece of paper and epilated one arm, and looked at the hairs that had been pulled out. There were 2 that had bulbs, and about 100 that had just been broken. BIG waste of time. I am going to try to take it back tonight and get the other epilator they had…a Braun EasyStart. Hopefully this one will pull the hair from the root. Anyone have any epilators they RECOMMEND that gets the hair from the root? Oh and I did my boyfriend’s chest…he had red bumps for about two weeks. It’s been almost a month since I did it, and there are still a few red bumps. Ingrown hairs I imagine. I never had any ingrown hairs, knock on wood. But he was in terrible pain the entire time I was doing it . All that pain for nothing. Well, off to take this device back to the store. Will let you know how the Braun works out. BYE!
