This isnt too pleasant - but on my breasts I get quite a lot of blocked pores and blackheads, incluing the occasional whitehead. Not only is this unsightly, it cant be too good for my skin either.
I remember hearing somebody mentioning laser to remove the small (blonde) hairs found on breasts may help this condition - might this be true? I am basing on this assumption on the fact that hair follicles may be the things that are getting blocked.
No, laser doesn’t do this.
You should look into a “facial”/extraction for your skin on this area.
Or are these short hairs or ingrowns? If they are, you can remove them with electrolysis.
Hi, you cannot have Laser on areas where their are fine and/or blonde hairs.
I am prone to spots and whiteheads in the middle of my chest. I have been having electrolysis on/off as and when I can afford to add this area to my regular facial treatment sessions. Partly to remove hair and partly to remove the hairs causing the blocked follicles. It has helped and spots are a lot less frequent. I also use witch hazel on this area daily after a shower.
Sorry, I should correct myself. I have been considering having electrolysis in this area, not laser! I know that laser wouldnt work here.
Its interesting to hear that it has improved things for you, stopit&tidyup. Would you consider the hair in that area to be a real contributing factor to skin condition? I know I will alwas have oily skin and that area will never be perfect - but I would love to improve this.
I think so. I would keep getting spots in the exact same place. Once the hairs were removed and the spot healed, they didn’t come back. I think you should try the witch hazel as well, I think it will definitely help against the oil and sweat produced in this area.
