Hi EveryOne! Ok, I’ve been reading here but I’m still a little confused about what to do. My hair is dark blond, maybe light brown, and pale skin.
I’ve gotten 3 Elos treatments so far, underarms and bikini area. After each appt, about 2 weeks after I do have a good amount of sheddding which then grows back but I dont see any hair loss yet.
I’m just trying to decided if I should continue with this treatment or not. I get the feeling I am wasting my money.
We have yet to see anyone here with actual results with Elos treatments. How soon after shedding is your hair back? If you cannot wait 8-10 weeks, the hair is probably not getting affected permanently. You may need electrolysis instead as your hair may be too light.
I start shedding about 2 weeks after the elos treament and I would guess I shed for maybe 2 weeks. But with in another 2 weeks (total 4 weeks after treatment) it is growing back again. This treatment is also not painfull at all. Do you really need the pain for it to be effective?
I had laser (dont know what kind) on my underarms about 5 years ago and it hurt alot. My underarm hair is finer now but I only lost very little of it (afer 8 treatments) . So I’m trying again with elos, it sounded like the perfect solution for me but now, after what I’m reading here it doesnt sound that great at all.

Sounds like your treatments are ineffective as I would expect. If the hair is growing back at 4 weeks, that means it wasn’t affected as it’s not enough time for new hair to grow out and develop, i.e. it’s the same hair which was never affected that you’re seeing. And yes, effective treatments hurt.
There is no effective laser solution out there for light hair. You need electrolysis.

im also getting Elos treatment, I can see reduction on the bikini line, but nothing on lower back. I should also add, I’ve had alot of treatments so far,(ive lost count)…
Roma, you have dark hair though, no?
yes I have very dark hair, the hair on my lower back is dark however its not like my bikini line at all, its alot thinner.
