ELMA and waxing/sugaring

hey people of this wonderful forum, particularly andrea!

since ppl use ELMA and other similar prodcuts to reduce pain and kinda numb the area for hair removal… do you think its possible to do the same before sugaring/waxing…so that when pulling out the hair, it will be less painful and tolerable on sensitive areas???

it would be great to know… thanks!

rachel

no help? i have never tried nor do i know anything about emla and if my first post’s question was “stupid” than i appologize… but hey is it a crime for a girl to find something that can reduce the pain of hair removal??

yikes!

Rachelle,

I don’t think your first post was stupid. The stupid question is the one not asked.

But maybe no one who has read your post so far has ever tried a local anesthetic before waxing or sugaring. You would definitly need to clean and dry the area after having the topical on for an hour or so, or the wax/sugar wouldn’t stick to the hair.

So maybe you could try it and let the rest of us know. Couldn’t hurt! (Pun may have been intended … not really sure! )

thank you patrick for your post… and you are right, it doesnt hurt to try it. i will if i can get some of Elma first! hehehe. i was going to get it if someone told me that it will work with sugaring etc. but iguess i have to be the first one to say that.

take care
rachel
