Is this an IPL machine? I am looking into laser hair removal and the consultation is for the only Laser Hair Clinic in my area that just specialises in Laser Hair Removal, but I am unsure if the Ellipse Flex is a laser or an IPL which will only make things worse? I have pale skin which has freckles and needs to burn first to tan, but I don’t burn easily either? And my hair is dark brown to black.
Ok the lady who owns the company just rang me and I asked her about it, and she says it’s an IPL machine but that it is a Medical Grade one so the results are very good? I’m not sure whether I should go ahead with this consultation at all?
Any advice?
Ok this is another laser clinic in my area, but because they offer so many other services, does this mean they are not a laser hair removal speciality clinic and therefore not a good idea?
Here’s the brochure for what they offer.
Ok so I’ve now narrowed it down to either Therapie, which is a chain clinic in Ireland that uses GentleLase. My worry there is that while there have been good reviews, there have also been lots of bad ones. Should I be ok in the sense that if I know what settings I should be on, I should get the proper treatment? I.E. that I will know they are using it too low and to try a higher one. My skin type is very odd. I’m quite pale, but I find that I rarely ever burn and when I do it becomes a tan, but otherwise I don’t tan at all, really. Only very very slowly. I was in Chicago and Boston for the summer and went from pale as Casper to the warmer ghostliness of Snow White, as I made sure not to burn. But I also have lots of freckles and a few moles. Because from what I have gathered from this forum, GentleLase is easier to work and therefore more likely to give me results regardless of the technician, where as the other clinic I mentioned above, Primrose, uses the LightSheer and that is a good machine provided the technician is extremely good, which I cannot really guarantee.
Any advice would be EXTREMELY APPRECIATED!!!
