thanks again

Without a picture, there is no way of knowing if you really have “scarring” or just are spending too much time looking at the 10 times magnification mirror and not liking the look of empty follicles full of sebum.

Often times, the kind of skin that grows coarse hair is oily and has an orange peel appearance. When hair is growing from the follicles, it is impossible to see the follicle openings, but once the hairs are gone those follicle openings CAN be visible for some people - especially if you are examining your skin closely. Scars would appear as thickened and white, and would not appear as holes in the skin. Scarring with electrolysis is very rare and with the new technology available should be virtually non-existant in modern times.

One of my skin care clients (not an electrology client) had laser resurfacing. She had suffered from acne as a young woman, and does tend to obsess over her skin. She loves the results from that, however, I would not have it done after examining her skin under magnification. What I see are swirls of scarring from the laser burn that “resurfaced” her skin. Other than that very extreme measure to change your skins appearance, there are cosmetic peels and procedures that might help the appearance of your skin, and there is always a good foundation. I have become fond of a liquid mineral product called Illuminare. It can be found at: http://www.illuminarecosmetics.com/

yes perhaps it is just from the missing hair that the pores are so large but i have had comments from a few people especially on a sunny day outside. would microdermabrasion or dermabrasion work to minimize these???

As a laser therapist, scar management with IPL technology has been beneficial to many of our patients. Please look at this option. At our dermatologist office, we treat daily scar revisions with IPL.

Hope this will help.

How long has it been since you finished with your electrolysis treatments?
