Hi all! I am a transgender woman and I’ve been getting electrolysis treatments on my upper lip/chin area since August 2022, and I’m noticing what looks like pitted scars/hyperpigmentation. My treatments are every two weeks and all thermolysis. Could anyone give me advice on how to treat it/what it might be?
It looks rough to me. Thermolysis is not the problem. How experienced is the practitioner working on trans women? Are they credentialed? I ask this because many people buy pre-owned epilators off the internet and friends work on friends.
One has to be well-trained and experienced to do challenging cases. I ask because there is not enough detail here. Sadly, I have no idea what the technique and energy levels were? Probe size? healing time? Skin reaction?
