Electrolysis scarring questions

@Mtricha pay attention to what I bolded in Dee’s comments above.
If you think that Michael has been running around talking to other electrologists about you, you’re strait up wrong. Was he rude to you? Absolutely. You got your feelings hurt. Chill out and get over it. Here’s why.

From my time here I can tell you that the electrologists on Hairtell are not overall a very cohesive group. But EVERY ONE OF THEM is capable of making their own decisions regarding their business. And right now, the decision they are PERSONALLY making for their PERSONAL business, is hell no I dont want that person in my clinic. But not one of them is picking up the phone to call your electrologist to talk about it.The electrologists here do not benefit from giving advice or opinions here.

You’ve made clear you want no more opinions, not on your treatment, and not on this issue. That’s likely a good thing because I dont think ANYONE would venture an honest opinion for you here at this point.

Back to the facts again?

Yes, what You showed us looks very much like “prolonged inflammatory response”. Prolonged, of course by an annoyingly long time. We do not know what happened exactly, if by chance a post treatment inflammation or something intern met treatment parameters abetting (i hope i use the correct word…) a prolongation of healing. But - as all other collegues said, it WILL heal some time.

Please let me give an experience i made last spring: i had several clients where i removed fine upper lip hairs. Used an IBP 2 Kelly probe, a Platinum Pure in Syncro mode at a timing of about 0.05-0.08 secs and thus “relatively” large intensities for EL values of 58-73. The treatments were all very comfortable, and initially the clients were all happy.
But in all of these treatments healing was pretty much prolongated, one to a degree that was clearly not acceptable. Neither to the client nor to me. So i can understand very well that You will not accept a healing phase prolonged that much.

My reaction was avoiding these ultra short timings ang going back to the 0.1 secs in Multiplex (or Synchro) i have been using successfully before that series. Result: no prolonged healing any more.

Skin reaction and healing do actually depend on the timing - the shorter the timing (i.e., the larger the signal) the larger is the risk of healing complications and the slower is the healing itself. On the other hand these shorter signals are usually regarded less painful by most of my clients. By me as well if a am on the treatment table.

Looking forward: maybe this gives a clue what to change in future treatments (after the skin has settled to normal state, of course, not earlier.)

You are hilarious! You have no clue as to what you are talking about regarding the situation with my Electrolysis…so stop commenting on something you know nothing about. You cannot assume anything…because you don’t know…period!

My point in saying that I have heard all the opinions about my lip…and it doesn’t need to be posted about is this. You all keep acting like I was not listening to advice…not believing what is being told to me. This is simply not the case. I think you need to re read the thread. I am not nor have I ever had a problem with Michaels assessment of my lip area. If he would have kept it at that…there would be no issue. If you can’t see that…well then…there’s no point.

Thanks Dr. Beate Ritzert! This makes complete sense to me. I appreciate your response.

I know I said I was not going to post on this thread again. But I lied!

I re-read my original “nasty” post and, well, it WAS seriously “over the top.” At best it was preachy, and the term “A-hole” DOES fit me (in this case anyway). I hurt somebody needlessly … and that’s horrible to realize.

I’m glad she wrote what she did! Really!

A problem somebody is experiencing and worrying about? It’s totally unfair to compare this to, say, world hunger. How STUPID of me! I suppose I was really writing about MYSELF! My own SUPER fear of this cancer … well, I had to remember all the “suffering of others.” (Actually, it DIDN’T help; I’m still freaked out. I’m going to end up with a BIG permanent scar … or something else, they don’t know exactly.)

Anyway, well, there it is.

I’m happy knowing that “Tricia” will be fine. I’d even give her a written guarantee. And, really, that’s ALL she was looking for: reassurance from all of us.

For those that sent me nice “supportive” emails … well, I don’t deserve ANY of your nice comments. I know I have friends, but “wrong IS wrong!” I was acting badly, I was writing out of anger and frustration. I WAS an ass! (I usually know it too.)

Thanks for your heartfelt response Michael. Having health issues myself…I completely understand the fears that go along with it. I am sorry you are going through this. I wish you only the best.
