Hello so I’ve been getting electrolysis done for aabout a year. I have been getting it on my chest for about a couple months. I have gotten a lot of scarring that has lasted a while but I got this big raised bump scar? I’ve had it for 3 weeks now and am wondering if it will go away. I think maybe it was overtreated. I found a new electrolysist who said maybe their needle was too much for the thin hairs. Im looking into stopping for now and to just treating
the scars with an esthetician. Thank you for any input.
that’s not any electrolysis caused kind of scarring. It might however be an ingrown hair.Redness=inflamation, so either ingrown hair, or a small cyst.
Ok thank you. I just thought it was like a scar since I’ve never gotten a cyst here.
It is inflammation and will resolve on its own. Cause? Like Seana said, could be an ingrown hair or it could be that when a hair was treated, perhaps the root sheath peeled off and was left behind, thus, becoming a foreign object…THUS… the inflammation process began to surround the foreign object and gobble up the debris over a period of time.
