Forearm of a woman of 29 years, with maximum levels of telogen hairs. Any type of hair removal prior to Electrolysis.
Technique: Blend
first session: 783 follicles treated
second session (two months later): 170 follicles treated
third session (two months after the second): 130 follicles treated.

Did this person not believe that electrolysis works, ded? These pictures certainly show what three good clearings can do. Is she going to continue with her treatments. Forearms are my favorite area to do. Marathon sessions after an initial waxing just one time, speed things along so one is finished within 9-14 months. Using the faster forms of thermolysis (microflash, picoflash) is my game plan. Works great and skin reaction is almost nil.
Yes, now we have met the 27 MHz frequency, the technique can work in any flash modes. It is much faster than any other technique.
However forearms of these cases were worked in an era where we did not know the advantages of this new frequency for Electrolysis.
The blend that we work is not exactly the original blend that needs at least 4 seconds, is a pseudo-blend or what might be called the half thermolysis at short electrolysis. Less than a second, enough with the appropriate parameters.
Since we have acquired new equipment, we do not want anything other than the frequency 27 MHz. (picoflash) which is better tolerated.
My dear friend ded10.
I am so glad you have discovered this wonderful electrolysis forum. With more than 25 years of electrolysis career and the only clinical study made in Spain to prove the permanent results of hair removal by electrical epilation, I can say that you have so much to offer and teach to other colleagues. And, who knows, it might be there will be a day where electrologists in this forum meet in person regardless living in different continents. (Could you believe, James?).
It is a pleasure, ded10, to see you working at such speed and effectiveness with your brand new Platinum. What a wonderful date when you discovered it, didn’t it?
I hope you stay at this forum for a long, long time and you earn the respect you already have in Spain.
Best Regards,

The Apilus Platinum is a wonderful epilator and I am thrilled to hear that it as reached as far as Spain. Of course, Dectro is an INTERNATIONAL company! There are other good brands as well and people will get permanent hair removal regardless, as long as the electrologist is skilled and cares about improving her/his speed. Forearms (the title of this thread) is not too big an area to treat for a well-trained electrologist. No area is too big when one has great tools like the better computerized epilators available today when used properly by a skilled practioner.
You will corner the market if you have an Apilus Platinum, if everyone around you is using effective, but inferior epilators in regard to speed, healing and sensation factors. Whoops, I just let out the best kept secret for improving ones business.

Hello FranTeruel
The pleasure is mine to read here. How I will not remember that date I knew the existence of Platinum, if you had 12 years waiting for? I can not forget because it was thanks to you.
I also wish to remain long in this forum and to continue learning from you every day. You know that in Spain it is not possible.
I have the impression that I will stay here.
Greetings
With your permission Dee, correcting him, we do not have one, but two Platinums and soon, I hope will be three.
The new frequency has changed the concept of speed, now we do not run, we fly now.
1400 follicles / in one hour, on legs,
The speed is really amazing and effectiveness is absolute.
As you can see, you and I agree on everything … deal only with less anagen hairs.
