Electrolysis result - burnt skin

Hello,
I’m looking for some advice. I had electrolysis on my stomach about ten years ago and never had this issue. But I recently started going to a new person for some hair on my face. Just had my second session. She commented a few times that she was having to “go higher” than last time and that the hair was stubborn. She then said “Hmm, it’s responding now but it is burning your skin unfortunately.” It was very very painful, but she was very matter of fact and just carried on. By the end, my skin was practically numb.
She commented again that she’d burnt me, and then told me to put products on my skin that would “dry it out completely” and to make sure I exfoliate…both pieces of advice that are not good burns first aid!

To be honest I was in shock a bit and in a lot of pain. I didn’t challenge her at the time I just left. Here’s a photo of several hours later. The other side of my face was like this too, with some blood and weeping etc.

Just really looking for a bit of advice on how to approach this with her, whether I’m overreacting/too worried and any experiences of caring for burns following electrolysis.

Thank you in advance!

so…she ignored obvious signs of overtreaatment? DUMP her. Please go elsewhere.

I would recommend e11ements spray to help heal. You can buy it on Amazon. I would not return to this person.

Wow! Sorry that happened to you. Electrolysis is a fine balance between your follicle, skin, hair and the experience of the Electrologist. If the Electrologist doesn’t know how to make adjustments so the damage doesn’t happen, they should not be working. Anything more than a pin dot scab is too much. A top notch Electrologist will leave your skin clear. Please find someone else.
