i have done sooo much research to figure out whether electrolysis or laser hair removal will work best on me … but im still not sure.
I have type III skin and black hair. I have a lot of hair on my face but the hair is fairly thin. I have read that laser does not work well on thin hair and can even make the hair grow back thicker. Is this true?? What do you think is the better way to remove hair on the face…laser or electrolysis?
yes, it is true. for women’s facial hair, electrolysis is best unless you have very coarse dense growth. and even there, if it’s only in a few spots, it’s not worth getting laser on those small areas and electrolysis on the rest. might as well just do electrolysis from the start.
what about a five o’clock shadow/pigmentation problem?? What can be done about that?
shadow is usually caused by the hair. when you remove the hair, most of it will be gone. if you actually have pigmentation problem on the SKIN, there are some creams that can help. but this is different than shadow from the hair that’s under the skin.
