Alright,
so I would like help as to whether or not I should do electrolysis or go in for laser.
I am black, but my skin isn’t super dark, the pictures were taken after a summer’s tan.
I have done electrolysis previously, but it always leaves little scars and the woman was slow… So I stopped.
But my situation is getting disgustingly horrid so I need to do something about it. And is there anything anyone could suggest to help with the irritated uneven skin I’ve got happening? -_-
If you found someone who did good work, and followed good post treatment care, you could rid yourself of this problem via electrolysis in a small amount of time. If you check out Ileah, in my customer interview, you will see someone who started with a problem ten times as bad as yours. She had thick curly ingrown hairs ALL OVER HER FACE, causing blotchy patches and black spots from ear to ear, and under her chin and on her neck when we started. Trust me, I understand why she doesn’t want her Before picture released. She did, however help us out with a contrast to the area we had got under control with an area that still had work yet to be done. It in no way hints at how bad it used to be, but you get the idea.
If I were working on you, the black marks and ingrown hairs would be memory 3 months from now.

Laser would do nothing for your upper/lower lip (hair is too fine). You could try the nd yag laser for the patches of hair on your chin. Be warned that the laser can stimulate more hair growth on your chin. If you want to try laser, do only 3 sessions and evaluate if the hair seems to be coming in worse. You must wait at least 2-3 months after your third laser tx to get a more accurate idea how the regrowth is doing. If it seems to be fine continue on but, there will be a point where the laser will no longer work (approx 8-15 sessions for face). Then its time to go back to electrolysis.
