I have light skin and dark hair (brown/black) and I started laser the facial hair i had about 2 years ago. I did it like 4x and I started to notice that the hair would start to grow in neighboring areas that I never had hair in!! Afterwards I took a break and waxed and then I was on medication that made my skin highly sensitive so I didn’t touch it often and if I did I had to shave it. Now I have a lot of thick, dark facial hair and last thursday I went to my first electrolysis lady. $35/ hour but she really did more like 35 mins cause I was 10 mins late and she ended like 10 mins early…It’s sunday and I still have little red dots on the areas she worked on. I am kind of skeptical of her now and plus I think the $35/hour charge is a bit too cheap and suspicious? Can someone in my area please shed some light on my situation and tell me where I should go instead? Also I wanted to know if I should make laser first again and then do electrolysis on what is left?

Loc: ny In long island I’ve used Fino Gior. His information I found at www.electrolysistinformation.com. The treatments went good, but he was a little far, painful, and too expensive for me. I now use someone in brooklyn who is closer to manhattan, not very painfull, and charges only $60 per hour. The number for apointments is 718-376-6969. I’m very satisfied. Let us know how it went.
This is interesting. 718-376-6969 is MY old office number! My new one is (347)369-4441. I don’t remember Mina from 2004, but I surely appreciate the kind words! 
TamaraNYC, you are not imagining this. Laser has been shown to cause more hair growth on the face. If you still want to experiment with laser, keep it away from your face.
