Electrolysis on Vellus Chin hair

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone knew or has experienced with Vellus Hair Removal done by electrolysis on the chin. I have had electrolysis done on my sideburn area that has been cleared and also my stomach. It’s been about 2 years since I’ve touched any other area, but now I’m noticing some peach fuzz that’s noticeable because of its dark color and length. I have not removed it as I fear it becoming thicker. I wanted to know if anyone has gotten theirs done as Vellus hair and if it was successful? I am worried that once it’s removed from the first clearance it will come back thicker or darker. Also If you’ve had yours done or if you have worked on a client with such hair has it been removed and permanent killed at a shorter time since it was Vellus and never touched?

Thank you and looking forward to someone’s help on this :pray:t3:

Some electrologists offer vellus hair removal, others do not. An electrologist will need experience, good lighting, loupes, or a surgical microscope.

It will not come back thicker and darker. If the hair follicle is treated correctly, the hair slides out and it’s done for forever, permanently. Understand what hair growth cycles mean. Ask your electrologist. Basically, not all the hairs are present at the same time to see and treat, so you may think the hair that was treated has come back.

Find an electrologist that has set themselves up to treat vellus hair, They must have surgical loupes with higher magnification, like 5.5 X or better. They should have an LED or Halogen light so they can position you and the light correctly or they won’t see the hair. Without a professional set up, there is little hope that this can be done correctly. Some electrologists don’t like doing vellus hair and some do it very well with great success. Shop around and good luck.

This is what it’s looking like. I’m hoping since I have not touched it electrolysis will be successful faster than other areas I had removed. I was told by a friend who had the similar hair that after 3 clearances she didn’t need more. Don’t know

Thank you, Dee if only you lived in California thank you for the great tips :pray:t3:
