Electrolysis on Feet

I went for my third treatment for hair on my toes and feet. After the first and second treatments I noticed little marks on the areas where she did electrolysis and I posted about them here and everyone said they take a long time to go away and that this is a normal reaction. Well, it took about 3 weeks and the marks were totally gone. Now I went for my 3rd treatment last week and nothing. No marks and No red dots on the areas but the hair was removed. I did feel a lot of plucking sensations during the session, actually felt more like wripping the hair out. Anyway, My question is why do i have no marks there this time and does it mean I had good treatment or that the hairs were just plucked out? I am confused.

Toes are notorious for taking a long time to heal, as the area is usually so dry. Though some toes do heal quickly, my toes only took a couple of weeks. However if as you say you felt the hair being tweezed,‘ripped’ and not just slight resistance which can be felt sometimes depending on the hair cycle and condition of skin,eg very dry, thickened skin(common on toes), I would be concerned about the quality on your treatment. It is important to communicate with your electrologist during treatment, let them know what you are feeling, so they can adjust setting etc

Thanks for the response. Yes, I am feeling more than slight resistance a lot of the time. I can feel the difference when the hair just slides out and when it is ripped or plucked out. It also hurts a heck of a lot more…LOL. Anyway, thanks for the advice. I guess the only way to know for sure about the quality of treatment is to try another practioner and compare.

Toes do hurt. Sometimes I will do a low, slow blend for this area or MultiPLex is great as well, if one has that option on their epilator.

First clearances do not always go as easy as we like. A hair sliding out with no resistance as the text book says, is not always going to happen. At least, that is my observation. With that said, I always win! Permanent hair removal is always the outcome for the toes and feet.

Hi Dee, i don’t think the Kree machine has the option to do blend. As far as I know she only does the kree method of short wave thermolysis so it is more limited.

Oh, yes, I do believe you are correct.

I also think this is the reason I have the small red marks on every hair follicle treated on my face because she doesn’t have the capability on her Kree Machine to adjust settings. So, every hair whether course or fine on my upper lip, chin, and toes gets treated with the same current. This is just my best guess though from reading the boards.

Who knows? I do think she can adjust her settings though and she would have to use a different timing and intensity for your lip as opposed to your chin.
