I"m a male and going for a consult for ear hair removal. Is it generally pretty straight forward with respect to other areas of the body?

Yes, it is pretty straight forward. Insert the probe into the follicles, energy releases, hair slides out.
There are many curvy areas on the ears, so the electrologist has to pull the ear in different ways. Some men think it hurts a lot and some tolerate it very well. Some men prefer that I do blend on them and some men prefer a quick thermolysis zap. See if your person will try both modalities so you can decide which feels better for you.
I always strive to fully clear the ears each time the man comes into the office, if they give me the time I need to do so. I ask them to come back in 4-6 weeks for another clearing and so on and so forth.
Stick to a plan and you will have well-groomed ears in about 18 months of appointments TO CLEAR the hair. Usually takes about 12- 15 full clearances spaced out over 18 months.
Keep the area clean. Disinfect your cell phone and change your pillow case. 'Kay?!!
Wow. That much work, huh? Silly me thought that I could probably have someone do my ears in a few minutes and be done with it. Now, I don’t have that many terminal hears but I clearly underestimated the job.
Hair grows in cycles. It grows and it sheds. Not all the hair, on your ears, is present at the same time, so we have to play the game of Whack-A-Mole for 9-18 months. Mother Natures rules dictates when hair will grow and when hair will shed.
Electrolysis works for ear hair. It may not be very easy or fast, because of hair growth cycles, bit it works like nothing else on earth.
I love getting my ears done. You can hear it sizzle!
sometimes it makes a tweak sound!
Oh, ozzy, I might have to eat some bacon after reading that!
