What is a neutralizer? My electrologist rolled something over my face after my blend treatment and called it a neutralizer. I realize I should’ve probably asked her but I’m not too worried, just curious.
Was it a metal roller that was attached to the machine? If so, it sounds like you had cataphoresis( sp?) done. I’ve had once. I havent ever gotten any cohesive answer on whether it actually does anything.

Yes,it sounds like cataphoresis. Preparation and rolling can take several minutes. The rolling itself takes about 5 minutes on the face - more time is needed for the body. If it is done after your treatment time has ended, that is a nice bonus.
When cataphoresis is being administered during the actual treatment time, most clients prefer that time to be used for hair removal.
The advantages of the cataphoresis is that it is a vasoconstrictor and restores the pH to normal and also has a bactericidal effect. I rarely use cataphoresis because I see that I am able to achieve the same effect by using a cool alcohol free witch hazel after the treatment.
All the best,
Thanks Arlene, Seana! That seems to be what it was. It was definitely after my treatment time as I noticed I left the room 13 minutes after my appointment should’ve ended.
