Electrolysis Methods for Olive Skin Question

Hi everyone I am looking to get electrolysis done on the face. I have been browsing around on this forum and a bit online to get more info on electrolysis. However, while looking more into the subject, I found out that there are several methods (short-wave thermolysis, galvanic, and blend) and I am not sure which electrologist I should pick. I went to http://www.electrology.com and found a few electrologists near my area. Most that I find are using the Short-Wave (Thermolysis) method and a couple are Blend method.

A little more info on myself ~ I am Asian and my skin tone is olive (I think?) So is there any specific electrologist I should seek or will the Short-Wave (Thermolysis) be okay??

~ Thanks !

Your ethnicity and skin tone won’t matter for electrolysis. Thermolysis will be fastest for you, but some electrologists prefer blend or galvanic (or don’t have the ability to do thermolysis). Get a test from an electrologist and see if the hairs slide out without a “plucking” feeling after the treatment. If they do, and the electrologist goes at a pace you are comfortable with for the amount you are paying, then you’ve found a good electrologist (of course, assuming you don’t have unreasonable reactions due to overtreatment or some other reason that the experience is bad for you). If you’ve got a bunch of equally good electrologists to choose from, then choose the one with an Apilus Platinum (or close to it). That machine can do picoflash (flash thermolysis), and is very very quick and almost painless for me.
