Electrolysis... is this a big joke on me! ; )

Hi Everyone.

Have been avoiding electrolysis like the plague until I came on these boards and found out some more info. Anyhow yesterday I went for a session. I was terrified I wouldn’t be able to find a good practitioner and we would never get anywhere etc. Now I don’t want to speak too soon…after all this is like the impossible dream to me! But everything went so well. She has pretty up to date equipment and has new machine coming in 4 weeks that does pico etc. She is a full time electrolysist rather than someone that doesn’t specialize. She pretty much followed the standards set out by the pro’s on this board such as wanting to get full clearance, switching between different methods for different places etc (by the way this is my face we are doing) But it gets better, she told me that she didn’t think I have a huge problem!! How cool is that! She thinks we can have clearance in a 45 minute session!? I am not a plucker, yesterday I had shaved 3 days before, I would estimate I had approx 200 hairs on each side, she took out 52 yesterday but in not sure in which time frame as she was trying out lots of things and we were chatting etc. She did say she would prefer it if I got my hormones done but then when I said I didn’t want to be on meds she said we would see how everything goes and then if things don’t work as expected I will have to consider it. I just had a trial yesterday but as I expected I didn’t break out at all…hardly anything, today it looks totally normal!? I never reacted to laser my skin is very unsensitive but this worries me a little as EVERYONE on these boards seems to have physical signs of treatment. I did have electro yrs ago, I remember it being VERY painful, it was a very old machine and top lip. However I was expecting it to be more painful? She asked me to do a test where she cranked up the power and told me to stop at a level I found too uncomfortable…she stopped before me! I do have a high pain threshold, especially when it comes to these hairs! But I certainly wouldn’t describe it as really painful? Im so sorry about this post, so long and so much info! I just feel really happy about this, I wonder if I am getting carried away or could I really be doing the right thing now! What about the pain, shouldn’t it be worse to kill them off? Xxxxxxxxxxxxx

What Im trying to get at is, just last week I thought I was stuck with this hair forever, now 1 appointment later someone tells me that they can kill what’s on my face now in 45 minutes for £45 and that then all I have to do is go back once a week, keep on top of it, pay someone what seems like a good price to pluck my face clean of hairs (regrowth) and kill them at the same time for a period of however many months (I don’t even care as long as im pretty much hairless in the process…even if its forever!) How can this be? Is this a joke? Why the hell didn’t I do this sooner if this is the case??

P.s – the laser worked like a dream on my legs and bikini line with lightsheer, I had two and will one day go back for the third which I think will pretty much be me bald!

This is not
Your Great-Grandma’s Electrolysis!
It’s the new generation of comfortable permanent hair removal!

It is possible to clear a face with little discomfort and little short term side effects.

It’s no joke.

Tell your electrologist I said hello from across the pond.

The only way electrologists, worldwide, will be convinced to update their equipment and bring it up with computerized electrolysis is to hear about the good news from happy, pleased and satisfied consumers like you.

The only way doctors are going to hear the good news about permanent hair removal via electrolysis through the use of better tools and computerization is through the consumer who is pleasantly surprised about how well elecrolysis worked to change their life. PROFESSIONAL electrologists can deliver consumers successful, permanent hair removal, in a decent time frame with good skin outcome, especially if they move forward and get out of the mud of using antiquated techniques and equipment.

Thanks for taking your time and effort to write a long post. May you have continued success with the rest of your appointments. Please consider keeping your hair removal journal here for the rest of the year. Stick with a good schedule and you will be finished within 9-12 months.

Will you do me a favor? When you see your electrologist again, will you open your arms, run toward her and give her a big hug from Dee. She sounds like a huge asset to this profession. We need more of her. Would she allow you to mention her name so our British hairtell friends can share in the happiness?

Thanks,

Dee
