Hi to everyone. I am not exactly new here, but its been long time since i loged in, so i forgot my user name. In any case, here i am. Finally picked up some courage and decided i will go thru with electrolysis. I just wanted to ask if anyone can recomend anyone good in Phoenix Arizona? I just read about Boston school of electrolysis, and noticed that they are the ones to avoid even though she
s promising castles in the sky on her website.
If someone could recomend anyone good with reasonable prices i would much appreciate it.
have you tried running a search?
Here on a forum? Or just yellow pages? Yes, i tried both. Here i found one article about the place i mentioned in my post, called Boston school of electrolysis. Yellow pages will show a few. Since my husband is working 15 hour days, and he will be driving me, i thought i might spare him the useless trips and ask if anyone on the forum here is from Phoenix and knows someone worth going to. I feel guilty telling my husband to drive me around so i could try them all out before i decide on a place.Hes tired as a dog as it is. First place i run across in white pages was Boston school of electrolysis, and to be completely honest, she
s selling herself so good that i was ready to go there and get it done. Luckily i came here first, and now i wonder who to trust and who actually has real experience in hair removal.
Maybe someone will know a place in Phoenix…
I want to make something perfectly clear here. In all fairness to Ms. Kimberly Williams, RE, Dean, Boston School Of Electrolysis Massachusetts Licensed & Registered Electrologist practicing in Arizona outside of the state of her license and therefore outside of their area of enforcement, since 1979, no one here on this forum has reported back on her actual treatments. I really wish someone had. She could be the best electrologist in the universe, but what we DO know is that as a human being, she has issues that make her unbalanced, and she does simply nutty things like spending her Christmas Vacation calling up every electrologist she can find a phone number for, and trying to find out what people know about me, and bad mouthing me, and even trying to call me as if she is a prospective client to find out if I really was in Hawaii at the time, and not taking appointments, and then hanging up on me when I call her back to ask her if she wants to have a one on one conversation about all the stuff she is saying to people neither of us even knows, but these people feel the need to call me and tell me that some nutter just spent 45 minutes trying to get them to hate someone they never herd of, and never met.
So you see, it is because of actions like this that we say, even if she is the greatest electrologist in the universe, she is not the human being you want to spend 10 - 100 hours with over 9 to 12 months.
Perhaps, I will make her millennium one day and pay her a visit so that I can submit what is left of my beard to her tender mercies. If I disappear without a trace, you all know where to start the search
Like you said, she doesnt sound like someone i wanna break the ice with. I don
t want a nut poking me with a tiny needle , especially not my face.
I`ll check on a few others, probably read what to ask and what to expect from a good electrologist, and go from there.
I really need someone well balanced.
usually, especially for pretty large cities like this there is always previous discussion. if you haven’t found it, that means there are probably no participants on this forum who know of any there since someone has probably already asked in the past. my next move would be to read the “how to find an electrologist” sticky post and look through all the links there where electrologists are listed by state. then, i would call them up and ask what modality they use, their experience, etc and start having consultations. most offer free 15 mins sample treatments.
This will be of a great help to you sanny.

She was my first choice. Plus shes not to far away from my home. i will give her a call and see how everything
s gonna go. I will most certainly let you guys know how it went. i`ve been waiting for this for a very long time:)
nice Dee! I forgot about that one and I recently pasted it for someone too
This message is for everyone here, especially Sanny.
I got a threatening call from Kimberly Williams today. She said that she is going to trace Sanny’s acount, and have her arrested.
Four years ago, my mother contacted Kimberly Williams to see about getting electrolysis for me. Our number is private, my mother works in the house. She wouldn’t answer. My mother thought that Kimberly Williams was simply with a client, so she tried calling back later. Kimberly Williams answered, and started screaming at my mother, was very rude to her, and cursed her out. When I found out what had happened to my mother, I contacted Kimberly Williams myself, and I told her that is not a way to run a business, and that I hope she gets shut down. And yes, I probably said some nasty words too. NO ONE TREATS MY MOTHER THAT WAY!
She called back with a bunch of threats, all of which I have recorded.
I stopped all communication with her at that time. She, however, did call one more time accusing me of going to phone boothes, and calling her from there. This is NOT true.
I met someone who actually did have sessions with her. I won’t say what they said about her work, however, I did learn that she bad mouths people to her clients. This person I met KNEW ABOUT ME!
Several years later, we get a phone call. My mother who is not feeling well answered the phone. It was Kimberly Williams. She said that I am logging into this site under the name "Sanny"and posting things about her. She said that she is going to trace the acount, and contact the police. We responded with “go ahead”.
Sanny, I wouldn’t worry too much about this. I contacted someone a few years ago about Kimberly Williams’s threats. I learned that she does this to many people. I have contacted the police myself. I urge all of you to do the same if Kimberly Williams is calling you, and harassing you. It sounds like she is. This needs to end immediately.
Thank you
Um, like I said, she seems to have a screw loose… so how would you rate her work?
I mean, if we could tranquilizer her, hypnotize her and make her do work and forget that she had any contact with the person she worked on, what would that person’s face look like?
Kimberly Williams actually monitors this board. The only thing I want to say in public in response is to follow your heart, and do what that says. Remember, it’s your face. It’s what everyone sees first thing.
I know that Kimberly Williams, president of my fan club, can’t help but read every word we have here on this wonderful site. I hope she notices that we treat her soooo much better than she has ever treated us. I hope she has some milk and cookies for me when I visit her this weekend.
OMG
Well my husband and i both fought the war in Bosnia and Croatia. KImberly doesnt scare me :) Not to mention the fact that i don
t even know the woman, nor where her office is. I asked a question, and other people seem to think that she shouldnt be my first choice, so i
ll listen to the ones who know more than me. I am not the type that asks and wants to hear what suits me. When i ask for advice, i wanna hear it and ill do my best to go along with it. Now to more serious stuff and about more proffesional electrologists in Phoenix. I called Maria Denicola
s office. The lady who answered the phone was heavenly. Made it so easy and painless, explained how it works and managed to set me up for tomorrow morning. Ill be having consultation which is, of course, free, and UP to 1 hour treatment. She said if it gets funny for me, i can leave whenever i want to. I am scared like crazy. i am telling you people, war has nothing on this:) I feel like a lunatic, my hands are shaking and i can
t stop thinking about it.
I have few questions though
I`ll be doing upper lip, little bit on my chin and neck. I never shaved, plucked nor waxed. I just bleach and they are very fine (the hairs i mean).
What kind of pain i should expect? I can take the pain well, but this is totaly unknown to me so it`s making me nervous…
Second question;
Will i have to shave like for laser treatments? I certainly dont want to shave my face at any point of time. i
ve heard that i don`t have to, but i wanted to check, because that would definetely deter me from doing this.
Thank you in advance
Well, sanny, Kimberly Williams is no match for you being that you have seen worse. I remember the back and forth happenings between Andrea and Kimberly Williams a while back and Andrea is not to be messed with - ever! Those happenings are posted on Hairfacts.com somewhere. Our dear, sweet King James Walker the Seventh got blasted by her for no reason whatsoever as well, so that is why he jokingly refers to her as, “president of his fan club”. It appears that she recently attacked him as well here on hairtell, but you can search for that if you desire. Glad that is all out now and you can proceed with someone that sounds heavenly as you said above.
Don’t be too apprehensive and lose sleep tonight about the “pain” factor. All of my clients find it very tolerable and the ones who are jumpier, are so at that first appointment because they are apprehensive just wondering what it may feel like. Friends tell them electrolysis hurst like hell, but one might come in and say with such joy, that didn’t hurt like I was told it would!!! Pain is subjective, so you will have to get a treatment and see how you personally feel.
One thing I would strongly advise you to do is tell Maria that you are afraid. When clients are honest and verbalize concerns about anything, we have our ways of adjusting and tweaking things to make things better. When I hear or observe that a client is nervous, this may sound stupid to many, but I may put a dab of lavender essential oil on my wrist closest to the clients nose and I may choose to use my lavender witch hazel as oppossed to my lemon witch hazel. For many, aromatherapy, calms the brain and eases the senses.
Shaving. You don’t have to shave like you do for laser when you get electrolysis. HOWEVER, it is so nice when my clients use an electric shaver 1-3 days before a treatment. Here’s the rationale: it disguises their upper lip hair problem until I can catch up and clear the area and … I can identify the active growing hairs easier. I like it. There are some other reasons for shaving as well, but I’ll spare you. Clipping with cuticle scissors is good, too, it you refuse to shave. You don’t have to do either, but at least it has been presented to you as a hint for helping the process along.
Let us know how things are going for you, sanny.
Dee
I am sure that you have looked around the site, but I will repeat; if you want the treatment to hurt as little as possible, please avoid caffeine and get a good nights sleep, and make sure you are well hydrated. Being dehydrated, having alcoholic beverages, and caffeine induced B vitamin and adrenal gland disturbance make the treatment hurt up to 10 times more than it would otherwise.
I dont drink alcohol at all, coffee only half cup in the mornings, but i will gladly skip tomorrow,.. :) Water shouldn
t be an issue, since that is all i drink. Thank you for your replies and i will make sure to post tomorrow after i come home from…hmmm…my treatment:)
Thanks once again!
I have been doing it for about, I think two years. The pain is the worst on the upper lip. However, it is tollerable. I think of the end result when I am being done, and it really gets me through. Does it hurt? Yes. But you are talking to the biggest chicken in the world. If I can take it, you can too! I promise you! It’ll be good.
In addition to all the advice given, you may also attempt to apply emla cream. Your insurance may cover it too. It’s a numbing cream. The downside is that you have to apply it an hour before your treatment AND cover it in plastic. It’s a pain, but it does offer a bit of numbing.
I also take four ibuprofens (SP). But of course, I’m no doctor!
Good luck! Let us know how it goes.
Okay i went… It was cool. Pain was certainly there, but i didnt take any advil nor i had any cream. cream isn
t really an option because my deductible is 200 bucks. All i could think about is that its certainly better to use those 200 for electrlysis than to go and see the doctor for a prescription. I
ll survive. Never heard of anyone dying from having their hairs removed.
In any case, she cleared majority of them in one hour. She left mostly the small tiny hairs on my upper lip, for next time. I look almost human now:) I am happy, truly happy for the first time in my life.
I was swollen for about 45 minutes. I just looked in a mirror, there is no redness no spots nothing. No one could tell i had it done. There is only the pain to remember, which is most intense under the nose, and quite telerable around the lips.
Pain or no pain, i am happiest human being on earth today. I have a good feeling about it, and some months down the road i will not have these ugly hairs.
Most thing i am proud of is that i never shaved or waxed, so she said they will be easier to remove. I am also happy that i am doing this with an electrologist who understand the issue of excessive hair growth as someone who has been there.
I am going back next week. Oh yes, she did few black fat ones from my chin, those i did pluck because they couldnt be bleached no matter what i tried. I
ll let you know how it goes next week.
Fantanstic. Thanks for reporting back. I don’t know Maria, but give her a big hug for me. My attenna goes way up high when I read about electrologists that people are happy with either on this forum or on www.cosmeticenhancementforums.com . If everyone would share to good news about their electrologist these discussion forums would be even better than they already are.
It sounds like you are on your way with a professional electroogist that will make a huge difference in your life.
