Hello everyone!
I would like to get electrolysis on my eyebrows and am wondering if any one could please refer a great electroligist in Atlanta, GA. I have light skin and dark hair (Asian) and have many very very small and thin hairs all around my eyebrows and am hoping to find someone who is very attentive and thorough to get every little hair. I also scar easily and am afraid of little dented scars and am looking for someone who is very careful and has thorough knowledge about the process to prevent scars.
After researching, I have found Brenda Tolley and Judi Peters/Goldie Fodor. Does anybody have experience with these electrologists? Brenda had the best reviews on yelp, but doesn’t seem to be certified while the other two have CPE, but not as many reviews.
Thank you so much! Any comments are much appreciated.
Just to clarify, do you mean to say that Brenda is licensed, but not a CPE?
I’m not actually sure. Here is the link to Brenda Tolley’s web page of her credentials, but no where is her license and certifications listed.

Well, “Dunwoody, GA” sure rings a bell. I finished up a client last year (from Dunwoody) that has been to both electrologists you mention (I’m nearly certain). Big case: back.
If you wish, and he’s amenable, I can put you two together for a private confab. Send me a PM and I will take it from there.
Thanks, dear Brenton for your help.
Georgia is not a licensed state, but they are affiliated with the AEA. Here are the states that are not licensed in green:
CPE initials do not ensure that the Electrologist is better than a non-CPE electrologist. You have to go and see for yourself. Get as many consults, with short treatments, as possible and then decide. Skill level and office set up varies. So do personalities. If you are going to be spending a lot of time in the next 18 months with this one person that will change your life, frankly, you don’t want someone that is smelly or has a cluttered, dirty office.
Go see for yourself! Your instinct will guide you. Don’t let initial behind the name fool you. Savvy consumers take those initials into consideration, but they don’t let it get in the way of evaluating what is really important.
Brenda was trained in California. She completed an electrolysis program. Her reviews look great. I would give her serious consideration. Personally, I wouldn’t hesitate to check her out.
Thank you very much for the helpful link! Of the people mentioned, I crossed off Voncille Burdette after reading some posts from http://www.hairtell.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/81915/My_Electrolysis_Journey_in_Atl.html
Apparently, she is quite expensive and her results are not very effective.
Denise Parnes, I believe, is no longer practicing.
I really appreciate your wonderful advice! I will definitely schedule consultations with a few to see who fits my needs the best. I’m just hoping to whittle down my list of electrologists as I’m afraid jumping around with different ones will take a lot of time and money. Moreover, I’m quite a pushover (haha) and wouldnt want to end up continuing to go to all of them, but would feel bad going once and never coming back.
