Electrolysis around the anus and perineum

Hello ladies,

I’m a 40 year old male and I am wondering if anyone here has had electrolysis done on the area around their anus and perineum.

The reason I’m asking is because I used to shave the area when I was a competitive cyclist to prevent chaffing. Now at 40, I’m getting tired of shaving that area every day and I’m wondering if this would be the best way to go to get rid of the hair permanently. Some of the questions I have are

  • Exactly what area did you have done?
  • Did you use any desensitizing creams to cope with the pain?
  • How did you feel during the sessions?
  • Did you feel embarr-assed? (sorry couldn’t resist lol)
  • How was the Electrologist’s demeanor during the sessions?
  • How tender was the area afterwards
  • did you use any skin conditioners afterwards and did they work?
  • Assuming you got the entire pubic area done from front to back including the area around the anus, how many sessions did you need to complete the job and has any hair grown back since.

Hopefully someone can respond. It’s an unusual request that may sound funny but believe me, I’ve given this a lot of thought and since some of you may be wondering, letting it all grow back is NOT an option.

Actually, it’s not so unusual a request. There’s an entire forum section here for “personal” hair removal. Electrolysis can definitely treat these areas. Good luck!

I don’t know if you’re still looking for feedback but I had this done. Some areas were slightly more sensitive but it was tolerable and came with the satisfaction of knowing each hair was permanently gone. I was a cyclist who shaved, waxed, had laser then finally decided electrolysis was the best solution. My electrologist is awesome. I still see her for the occasional full clearing of the few remaining hairs. Each treatment provides a peace of mind that I’m completely hair free in that area. There wasn’t much discomfort, perhaps the hardest part was just getting over being a little self conscious. It took a long time to finish but it was so worth it. For one doing GRS/SRS prep work, this would be just a natural extension of their work. Any practitioner doing full service work for TG’s would naturally be comfortable doing this as well, after all, one would already have the experience.

Mhmm, epilating the anus in prep for SRS is something i never heard of… :wink: Despite of that i already did such work and found it easier than working on the scrotum (and pretty efficient…)

Your situation is EXACTLY identical to mine so thanks for the feedback on your experience. It’s been awhile since I posted and to update, I did have some electrolysis done in that area but I found it a bit too expensive for my budget and had to opt for IPL. In Dec 2012 I bought the Remington I-Light Pro through Amazon and have had great success with it. I used it on my entire crotch area and it has really reduced the hair growth but it is not completely gone yet so I may revisit the idea of electrolosis after saving up to have it done properly.
