Electrolysis and medication

Hello. I have one question since yesterday I had a long thermolysis / blend hair removal session performed on my face and today it seems like I caught a cold or the flu (or something like that). Is it OK to take oral antibiotics while my face is healing? Maybe that’s a silly question but I would like to know for sure to avoid any potential problems with healing etc.

And asking more generally: is there any medication that should be strictly avoided during electrolysis?

If you “caught a cold/flu” … that’s a virus … and you shouldn’t be taking antibiotics anyway. *Antibiotics are for bacteria.

Such medications should only be taken judiciously and only with a physician’s authorization. The over-use of antibiotics can be dangerous to you (as well as the general public).

Most of the time, (and especially with electrolysis), the best medication is nothing.

Well, it was only a generalisation - I don’t even know if it’s a common cold or something else. Maybe the doctor will not prescribe me antibiotics (we will see tomorrow). But I preferred to ask just in case: can antibiotics be taken safely a day or two after electrolysis on the face?

yes without issue.

You may take any medication you want while you are healing after electrolysis.

Ok. Thank you for clarifying.

Massive amounts of steroids stop the healing process. Of course, such levels of medication have only been used in controlled experiments.

Indeed, the temporary use of topical creams of this nature cannot stop the healing process … I hope I didn’t give you something else to worry about?
