Electrologist's rate of progress

I’m working with someone on my beard. They were working on the area just below my mouth and covered 360 hairs in an hour or 6 hairs/minute or one every ten seconds. They indicated that were my beard a bit longer, it would have been a bit faster (I had 2.5 days growth). They are doing the faster of two styles they offer, this one only being galvanic and not the blend.

How does their rate compare to norms for this kind of work?

They said around five treatments for each area would be needed to completely clear them, is that a normal rate of retreatments?

if they are removing 360 hairs a hour, they are NOT doing it with galvanic! More likely this would be thermolysis.

And rate will vary from practitioner to practitioner. Rate can vary all you like, in the end the difference is if they are killing hair in the process.

Gosh, maybe for them it is? We all have different strategies. Are you saying that galvanic is faster than blend? Regardless, all modalities under the umbrella called ‘Electrolysis’ disable hair follicles.

Many of us advise that consumers check out several different electrologists so they can get consultations and short treatments, to see and feel what different electrologists offer.

Yes, it is thermolysis, not galvanic.

Nope Dee, I definitely wasnt saying galvanic was faster than blend.I was saying it was unlikely they were treatiing 360 hairs in an hour with galvanic unless they had a unit with quite a bit of needles and an extremely skilled operator  You’re right there’s different methods but I havent seen or heard of a galvanic setup that yielded that kind of results .

To the OP doing thermolysis over blend is just a different method. I like blend for reducing regrowth but if a operator is skilled with thermolysis the results will be the same in the end.
