Thanks Cherrytree.

I have found Sheila Godfrey to be near where I live. Does anyone know about her ? Can someone recommend me ?

She also has a website http://www.skintherapycentre.co.uk/

I am skeptical about her as she does IPL which I’ve heard it gives false treatment, though not sure about it.

I would really appreciate anyone’s help.

Anyone?

I don’t know anything about Shelia. I have one client who is actually from the UK. She is finished, however, she came by for a cleanup just last Friday. I see her about 2-3 times a year. She is a strikingly gorgeous now. She was very hairy from toes to forehead. She showed me pictures of herself before she transitioned and I was speechless. Very hairy. She started her hair removal plan using an IPL somewhere in London. There was not an area that was not treated. Then I started seeing her, working on all areas from head to toe, to remove the remaining finer hairs. I was totally impressed with her IPL success and it greatly helped the electrolysis plan.

We hear on HairTell that a real LASER gives better results than an IPL. I do believe that is true, but for this individual, IPL also helped. I don’t know why, but it worked great and she is very happy. Of course, she is happier that electrolysis actually finished the job at hand for those smaller, lighter hairs.

Just a little moral support. I don’t know if it helped!

If she transitioned as you say, it might well be that she experienced a reduction as a result of any hormone regime she may have been on. Obviously this wouldn’t have made much if any difference to any beard hair but it can have an impact on body hair, certainly once her levels had been been balanced into the female range for some time. SRS or orchi might further improve this effect. Works for some not all…

I have also seen this website, any news? I may trek to see her every couple weeks from London area. Unless anyone knows someone decent in UK?

Hello,Check BIAE website for all UK members.
All members are professionals and specialists.
IPL works for some people. With light based treatments there is no cure-all. You need to find the right light treatment for your skin and your hair.
Laser diode is my favourite at the moment but, again, not necessarily for all hair/skin, types/colours.
Electrolysis is effective on all skin types/all hair types because the treatment is applied to each hair individually and settings can be tweaked at any time to suit variables.
Sheila Godfrey- yes- very well known and respected in the UK. Text book author and professional hair remover.
Wish you best of luck.
Can I ask you a question?
What do you find the cost to be generally for TG/CD/TV hair removal in UK?
