Hi,

how it is possible(what is the difference), that one electrologist can do just anagen hairs, and another can permanently remove hair in catagen stage of growth. Is that possible allso with thermolisis?

Ive tried this at home with an electrolisis machine and thermolisis, the insertions got smooth, most of the hair coagulated nicely, but most of them(if not all) grown back:( I dont know the reason why this happened…And what can be done to get the removal rate much higher…

Im really happy I have my appointment in december with Josefa:)))

How are you sure that most of hairs grown back, and that it is not new growth cycle?

I think you are being overly ambitious if you think that you can do it yourself and on top of that have a high kill rate in all phases! Many if not most electrologists with decades of experience don’t have high kill rate from single clearances aka “Anagen only.” Obviously it is not thermolysis v. blend issue since Josefa illustrates her magic with thermolysis.

Miro I wonder the same. Same equipment, same books (although not everyone says telogen phase can be treated permanently) and lots of resource sharing, yet different results. Must be something innate?

Mhmm, i still need to speculate and understand by myself. One of the reasons may be that Josefa’s insertions are simply perfect. And if not, she corrects that. Last monday i had the chance to marvel at this under large magnification.

The other thing i noticed is that a hair can be pulled out with a tweezer apparently without effort, but it still cannot be pulled using the fingers (which i cannot do because i need to keep my finger nails extremly short; otherwise they will break). On my legs this is even possible when i undertreat the hairs.

And that’s also part of Michael’s message on false positives: as soon as the anchor is destroyed, the hair does not give much resistance when someone tries to pull ist. Destruction of the anchor does not necessarily mean (full) destruction of the target area.

I have wonderful memories of that day, Beate. I will send you the picture we took together. Our workshop improvised in a hotel room worked well thanks to your accurate forecasts. I never be able thank you enough the effort you made to spend a few hours with us (driving 400 kms). I already knew you were a great professional who does not rest until you get the perfect treatment (and in my humble opinion, you know perfectly well how to do it), but I never imagined that you were also an extraordinary and incredible colleague. My journey to Stuttgart was worth only to give you the hug at the end of the day.

Oh, I am jealous! What a wonderful sounding meeting.

Beate, you have highlighted something that is very important, I think.

It is the reason I was quite adamant in another thread that the client will not feel anything on the extraction of a hair when the follicle is fully treated.

I completely agree. The proof that this is true is that in laser treatments, there is regrowth after spontaneous expulsion of the remnants of hairs treated in a session that seems to have been successful a priori.

I understand that it takes years of practice and effoth to get a nice technique, I was just wondering what could be the potential small mistake that makes such a big difference.

Maybe a small victory maybe?:stuck_out_tongue: I made a test spot 2 months ago on my left biceps/deltoid - just a few of the thick hairs regrown, will see what will happen in a month/two:)))

Until the treatment in december I wont do any electrolysis on me, that there are all the hairs present that can be treated:) Im really happy to meet Josefa again:)))
