Hello guys!

I am new here at the forum. My name is Henrique, I am from Brazil.

I have been studying the possibility to enter in the laser hair removal business by opening a clinic here. This forum has been a great source for research, so before anything I would like to express my gratitude for you guys! You have been a big help! :slight_smile:

Well, of course a huge part of this business is the machine you choose to implement in your clinic. I came across this model by quanta system called “Domino Evo”. It is an alexandrite laser. Do you guys have had any experience with this machine? Would you recommend?

I cant tell you anything about that specific model of laser, but I can tell you that for lighter skin tones, an alexandrite laser is usually preferred. if your average client has darker skin tones you woud primarily be looking at a ND:YAG laser. But , if youve been trained in their operation, you would know more than me on laser modalities.

Yes, I know about the different types of laser and their best application for each type of skin. Alexandrite laser is a good fit in my region here in Brazil.

The thing is that everybody here that is working with alexandrite is using gentlelase by Candela. But this model is particularly expensive here because their official revendor here in Brazil has an exclusivity agreement with a big clinic here. So they sell the machine for a reasonable price for this big clinic and for everybody else that is trying to make an independent effort to work in this area they charge a different and much more expensive price for this specific model.

Because of that I am trying to find alternatives to gentlelase and I found this model by quanta system that is very similar to gentlelase in features. However, I consider essential to know reviews by people who actually have had experience with this model before considering buying it.

That´s why I asked. Would you recommend a model different than gentlelase?
