Just had my hour and 15 minute appointment with an out of town pro electrolysist. Everything went well ( in fact my wallet hurts much worse than my face ) I had budgeted to see him the one hour today and perhaps again for an hour towards the end of my time here if there was enough hair.
He worked on the sideburn area, something close to a clearing, which he called a clearing. He said you need 6 clearings, every 12- 14 days to treat the hair in each phase to be complete. I am here till Nov. 20th so he thinks we can get many of those phases in during that time with appointments spaced every 12 days. I just want to check on that schedule with others here. I thought you need much more time between appointments for the hair to regrow. I did schedule another appointment but I really am not sure I will even have enough regrowth in such a short time. Professional input welcome !!
If he is telling you that 6 treatments between now and the end of November and you will be done forever - he is lying! It takes at least a year (usually more) to get every hair in every growth phase.
(it took me about a year and a half for 98% permanent reduction)
Hmmm…I hope he is not lying. Ive come a long way to finally see someone who seems like high quality work. Id like to think he is not a lier ;( That would break my heart. Maybe i misunderstand something? But can you even have a growth phase in 12- 14 days?
Absolutely! I went every week, but where I am concerned is to let you think you will be DONE by the end of November…electrolysis is a slow process, but when you are done, you really are!
I would ask your therapist again. No electrologist thinks (or would say) they can achieve completion in a couple months time. A clearing ever two weeks or so, however, is a fine strategy (I guess 6 treatments in all?) … but I think you are “missing something.”
