Does anybody know what the big boys do about hair removal?

I mean the top competitors that we know for a given are taking hormones regularly. Jay Cutler, Ronnie Coleman, Markus Ruhl, Chris Cormier, etc…
Now obviously these boys have enough money from competitions and sponsors that they can afford electrolysis, laser or whatever they want. But doesn’t it seem like a hopeless battle removing hair that will only come back on your next cycle. In any case they all they all look good on competition day. But are they shaving daily or are they just not caring when they are not having a posing exhibition or going to a competition?

Most of them shave. And probably most of them don’t shave every day.

The “Big Boys” I have met do electrolysis on any back hair they have, because they want it gone for good, but they typically wax the chest two weeks before a competition, as they tend to think of chest hair as masculine, and they don’t want to loose that. One would be over any irritation after one week outside of waxing.

I always thought bodybuilders waxed the underarms as well as the chest. How do they feel about permanent removal of the underarm hair. Do they consider that as masculane as the chest hair?

I can’t speak for the majority of bodybuilders, however, the majority that I have spoken to seem to believe that my golden probes are magic wands that will turn them into women, or, if they are strong, just gay men. Of course, judging from my regular clientele, I guess I can see where they may think that theory holds true. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Overall, the body builders wax.

The males who are more interested in electrolysis are those who feel self-conscious about what they experience as excessive hairiness or those who are interested in transitioning from M -> F.

Some just shave day before at home…

I’ve heard all different reviews about what they do. Apparently a lot of them shave the day before, and a lot of them do have electrolysis. Some also use the hair removal creams because they don’t have that much hair there for removal anyway.
