a clinic for laser? I haven’t shaved or waxed in ages so isn’t it best that I just shave a few days before?
Waxing a few months before your first treatment syncs the cycle as all the hairs will be growing and in the anagen phase at the time of your first treatment. Hence you can eliminate more hairs from the first treatment. You will still need to shave before treatment. It’s not necessary but if you want quicker results it should help. Otherwise, the first treatment does the job of syncing.
I’m sure waxing contributed to the quick results I had on my legs and bikini line.
This does sound like a great idea and I barely ever hear about this.
Hi Johnson, yes I recommend it to people I know. My sister and my cousin both did this for their bikini lines and underarms and they are seeing great and quick results as well.
The thing is though, you can’t wax and only wait 6 weeks for an area like the legs as only some of the hair will be present. You need to wait for a ‘full growth’ to maximise results, the same as what is recommended for subsequent treatments of laser. So it’s something that requires forward planning.
I know my last wax was November or December I really wish I had written this down!
Waxing about 8-12 weeks prior to your first treatment can speed up the results as mentioned, but it’s not technically necessary.
